This was a LevelOne Game Jam entry made in 2019 with the theme ‘Bad Decisions’. This was a team of one programmer, one writer and myself as programmer and artist (as we couldn’t find an artist to join us). The game is about being a ruler of a kingdom. You are presented with a deck of cards, which represents choices you have to make between two factions at the time. The three factions in play are The Nobles, The Church and The People. Whenever you make a choice, one faction gets better standing with you, while the other gets worse standing. You have to get through the deck of cards but one of the three factions can dethrone you, if you antagonize them too much. Some of the choices have ‘event cards’ attached to them, which will add more cards to the deck which will symbolize long term consequences to short term decisions. No choices are good, when you rule.
